Computer Monitor started to blink on and off 1 time after being on for appr.10 minutes. What causes

I am only on my computer for apprx10-15 minuters per day . It seems to do it only 1 time after being on appr. 10 minutes or so.Could this be a possible virus? Or spyware? that isn't being picked up by my Mcaffee or spyware doctor? Both are current and show no infections. This all started after buying a product from pricewatch.com. I started getting spam e-mails and my Pc started acting up. I think they sold my e-mail addy so beware of pricewatch.com

I had the same problem some time ago an it didn't had anything to do with viruses but just the fact that the monitor was failing (it was a CRT monitor by the way)... I recomend you have it checked... (a possible cause may be the heat, so if you keep your computer close to the heating or a window that gets to much sunlight, just move it away from it)...

It is not a virus.

It's most likely a hardware problem.

Check the connection between the monitor and the computer.
