THOSE DIALOG BOXES ARE PROGRAMS THAT ARE CONFIGURED TO START WHEN YOUR COMPUTER STARTS. THESE ARE MEMORY RESIDENT PROGRAMS THAT HAVE VARIOUS FUNCTIONS WHICH MIGHT BE ENABLED OR DISABLED AS PER YOUR REQUIREMENT. YOU SHOULD BE PROFESSIONAL TO UNDERSTAND THE VARIOUS UTILITY OF THE PARTICULAR PROGRAM, BEFORE YOU ENABLE OR DISABLE IT.
LASTLY, GO TO START MENU ---%26gt; RUN, TYPE MSCONFIG AND PRESS ENTER.
YOU WILL GET A SYSTEM CONFIGURATION UTILITY. GO TO STARTUP SECTION. IN THIS SECTION YOU WILL FIND DIFFERENT COMMAND LINES FOR PROGRAMS TO START WHEN COMPUTER STARTS TO WINDOWS. UN TICK THE PROGRAMS THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO START WHEN COMPUTER BOOTS UP FROM NEXT TIME. THEN PRESS OK. AND REMEMBER TO REBOOT YOUR SYSTEM.

Most programs have an "options" area where you can choose to display or not display "splash screens".
Programs like McAffee you obviously want running when windows starts, but if there are other screens you get for programs you don't want running everytime windows starts, you can stop them from loading by clicking on start, then run, then typing in MSCONFIG and hitting the enter key. In the window that comes up select the startup tab. Here you'll find all of the programs that start up everytime you start windows. If you don't need everything, you can uncheck them here and they won't start automatically the next time you start windows.
