Recently I downloaded a file that claimed to be some sort of file for running a movie online, however later I discovered that C:\Users\"My user" (I use vista) contained "trojan downloaders", I deleted these straight away.
The next day I used McAffee and Windows Defence to scan for any other malicious files that may have been created, but got nothing on either... yet there are some suspicious registry changes logged and also I keep getting this up, which is like adware in itself as it doesn't look like a windows window, plus it just leads to a site promoting buying antiviral stuff.
%26lt;a href="http://s158.photobucket.com/albums... target="_blank"%26gt;%26lt;img src="http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/... border="0" alt="Photobucket"%26gt;%26lt;/a%26gt;
I still have the fears that my computer is infected, but I have no clue how to tell as antivirus comes up with nothing =S
Virus still on computer?symantic
PC-AntiSpyware is a fake antispyware application that tricks the user in purchasing the full version of the software by displaying threats present.
There are 2 ways you can remove it. This is the manual way.
http://www.precisesecurity.com/threats/p... do not download anything on the page) just follow the directions.
Or,
You can use this, its free to use and does a lot deeer scan than most.
